Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry believes last night's dramatic UEFA Champions League win over Villarreal has provided a "massive confidence booster" for Sunday's Manchester derby.
City will now cross town to face arch-rivals Manchester United buoyed by their status as Premier League leaders and after winning in Europe's elite club competition for the first time.
Roberto Mancini's men were not at their most potent against the Spanish side at the Etihad Stadium, but completed their comeback from a goal down by snatching a 2-1 win with a stoppage-time Sergio Aguero winner.
Barry said: "A last-minute goal can lift everyone - it is a massive confidence booster. We will just go into Sunday's game, knowing it is a massive one, with a little bit more confidence.
